MITSUHIRO SABU

(D.J. Sabu)

DJ Sabu (Mitsuhiro Sabu) is originally from Chiba, Japan (a suburb of Tokyo). He is the oldest of three brothers. He has lived in California for almost twenty years, working at Akio's Sushi of Thousand Oaks, California. He has spent years as a sushi chef and kitchen chef, perfecting his technique and expanding his knowledge of Japanese cuisine.

For the last 3 and a half years, he has been hosting the popular radio show "Sushi Clash" on KCSB-FM in Santa Barbara, California. The show is broadcast on Sunday nights from midnight to 2-3 AM California time. It is also heard on the internet at kcsb.org

Sabu is Production Coordinator for Jon Stroll's record projects. Stroll and Sabu have just completed the Japanese language first CD of Japanese television personality Mitsuru Kuramoto. They are now in production on the English language version. The CD is being recorded at Studio City Sound, Studio City, California, and engineered by Grammy award-winning mixer Tom Weir.

Sabu is also involved with a Japanese sake company, and is helping with the distribution of the sake to restaurants throughout the US.
