Skycron is one of the only film television production companies in Canada providing full-service services in classical animation, 3D animation, visual effects and live action production services. Founded in 2001, the company has rapidly expanded to include divisions for commercials, original property development, and service work. Skycron can handle any and all aspects of production including post and audio production.

In fact, everything you see on this website is created entirely in-house, from boards to filming/animation, to audio and post-production. One of the most important things about Skycron, is we do not shy away from difficult production challenges. When other effects and production companies say
"That's too hard" or "That's impossible --" that's when they call us. Because we get it done and eat those challenges for breakfast.

But how did we come to be? Just how did Skycron get to where we are today? Our story begins at CJOH (now CTV Ottawa) in Ottawa, Canada's capital, in 2003. At the time, we were a tiny company. In fact, we were so broke we couldn't afford studio space. But our stuff was so good and they liked our stuff so much that Max Keeping and the CTV Ottawa guys gave us studio space for free. Then we got our first TV commercial contract, and the rest, as they say, is history. Boy, how times have changed. Since then we've had the pleasure of providing our services to countless companies and major clients including the Canadian Teachers' Federation, United Way, CTV Ottawa (naturally) and the Indonesian Consulate in Toronto, to name a few.

We now have a state of the art facility fully equipped with a compliment of some of the best production people in the business. Like our Producer and Music Director Jon Stroll, for instance. He's got a nice rack...a nice awards rack, that is. Did you know that he won a Juno for his work on The Raccoons (Les Amis Ratons, en Francaise de les amis Quebecoise) and Robocop. Oh yeah, and he won a Clio for writing the Lipton Cup-O-Soup song. And a zillion Gemini nominations.

One of our most popular services with ad agencies (a lifesaver, we've been told) is our POST IN A PINCH** service, a 24 hour production service. When it's 4 in the morning and the commercial has to be out yesterday, obviously all the production companies are closed. Sometimes it can mean the loss of a contract. But not anymore -- you can call our service at 4 in the morning and we'll drive down if need be to get the files and we'll finish the emergency work for you.
